Back in the late 70s when I was a teenager my father raced his sailboat from Victoria BC to Maui every other year. We would meet him on the docks in Lahaina Harbor after his two-week journey. We made friends with locals and embraced the culture. Those trips were rich and profound. So much of Vixen is influenced by those experiences in the Valley Isle, the spirit of aloha, the beachy vibe, all of it.
